What are DesignEx Pro extensions?

DesignEx Pro tips are full-cover nail extensions used to quickly add length and shape to the natural nail.

During this half-day course, you’ll learn how to size, customise and apply DesignEx Pro tips using Fibre BIAB.

A kit is not included in the course price. You can add a kit once you have confirmed your training dates.

You must use TGB gel products and the TGB Nail Lamp during the course. You may use your own files and tools.

You will need to hold a Gel Polish Qualification to attend this course.

During this 1/2 day practical course, you’ll learn:

Health, safety and workspace setup
TGB product knowledge
Natural nail preparation
How to correctly size and customise each tip
How to prepare DesignEx Pro tips
DesignEx Pro application using Fibre BIAB
Shaping and refinement
Gel polish colour and top coat finish
The DesignEx Pro infill process through video demonstration
Safe removal
Treatment aftercare
You’ll apply and finish five DesignEx Pro extensions on yourself, then safely perform a removal.

1. What time does my course finish?

Times will vary for different courses and locations. This DesignEx Pro™ Extensions course is 4 hours. However, start times will differ depending on the location, and finish times will vary based on the size and needs of the group.

2. Where will my course be held?

Course locations are displayed underneath each educator's profile on the TGB Academy website. Please check before booking your training.

3. Do I need to bring anything specific to my course?

Each course and location will have its own requirements as to what you need to bring. Your educator will contact you 1-2 weeks before your training date with all the course details, expectations and any items you need. If you would like more information, you can contact your educator via your Academy account.

4. Do I need a hand model?

You do not need a hand model — you’ll be working on yourself, so please ensure you arrive without product on your nails.

5. Is a kit included in my course?

A kit is not included in the price of the DesignEx Pro™ Extensions course. You have the option to add a Starter Kit to your booking (you will be taken to a separate web page before you pay for the course). This can be the full starter kit as recommended, or you can customise to create your own.

You must only use TGB gels and the TGB Light the Way Lamp and TGB Flash Lamp for this course, but any files / tools etc you have at home can be used.

6. What payment options do i have?
