About me

Hi, my name is Lena and delighted to be an educator of The GelBottle Academy covering the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast regions of NSW! A proud Ukrainian who studied arts and choreography at Kherson State University obtaining a bachelor’s degree during my early twenties but was always passionate about the finer art of beauty specifically nails.

When I migrated to Australia 9 years ago, I could not find a nail salon that would satisfy my requirements and decided to study Nail Technology in both Australia and Ukraine. I am a qualified nail technician in both countries and fortunate to train with leading European and Australian nail technicians over the past 8 years.

This valuable experience led me to open my boutique nail salon Hunter Nails, located at The Junction, Newcastle NSW. I started using The GelBottle about 4 years ago and fell in love instantly. I got hooked straight away when I tried the Extreme Shine Top Coat – it’s my favourite! The Gel Polish collection is simply stunning.

I am a person who thrives on delivering high quality nail services with acute attention to detail at all times and importantly, provides exceptional customer services to my clients.

I believe that hard work and passion can lead you anywhere and I’m happy to share my tricks and secrets that I’ve learnt over the years from several well known, talented professionals within the industry!

About Training Venue

The Training venue is located at my boutique salon Hunter Nails The Junction Newcastle NSW. Surrounded by some of the best cafes and restaurants on offer in Newcastle and within 5 mins walk to the most picturesque Merewether beach. It's only 2 mins walk to the bus station and the local Coles supermarket. There's plenty of free parking available. The training venue accommodates 2-6 students allowing for an intimate experience to focus on learning.
